"Every creative person and I think probably every other person faces resistance when they are trying to do something good. The harder the resistance, the more important the task must be." - from the book '2 million miles in a thousand years: what I learned while editing my life.
Resistance was the topic of this show. Specifically, resistance to change. No matter who you are when you decide to change things up, resistance will creep it's way into our minds and try and get us to justify why we should just stop. Tanya and I share some tips on overcoming the thoughts of resistance that try and trip us up.
The other kind of resistance, which is really tough, comes from those around us. Just as our subconscious wants us to stay the same, so do those around us. Ok, not everyone, but some. It's uncomfortable for people when we embark on a new way of doing things. It forces them to look at themselves and their lives and that's not an easy thing sometimes. Tanya and I chat about that too as well as giving you some tips on how to deal with it.
